If you are someone who experiences low back pain, there is good news – recently published research has highlighted that the most effective treatments for managing your symptoms are Pilates, strength training, and mindfulness. These exercises not only alleviate pain but also increase flexibility and strengthen the muscles that support the spine. If you are interested in incorporating these exercises into your routine, Total Therapy, spinal rehab classes may be a good option for you. The spinal rehab classes are designed specifically for low back pain and include Pilates-based and strengthening exercises as well as relaxation strategies in a 60-minute session to help manage your symptoms. Importantly, these sessions are led by a Physiotherapist in a small group setting, so you can be assured that you will receive constant supervision and guidance from a rehabilitation specialist. 

 

We are excited to offer two levels of spinal rehab classes to help manage your back pain depending on the severity of your symptoms and your current place in your rehab journey. Our Phase One “Back to Fitness” classes aim to improve trunk flexibility and strength, educate on the importance of movement, and provide relaxation strategies. Phase two “Bulletproof Your Back” aims to improve general fitness and maximise functional strength, robustly strengthen the core and glutes, and educate on the importance of continued exercise for the prevention of further episodes of pain. Our goal is to bring about the return to normal function and get you back to activities that matter most to you. With the guidance of our Physiotherapist, you can feel confident that you will receive the support and supervision you need to achieve your goals.
